Final Instructions for Poster Reviewers
Last week I sent you a link to a page on my website with the worksheets for your review and the person you are partnering with. I did receive feedback from some of you. As you may have noticed, the presentation of the posters takes place in two large groups.
Poster session time group 1:
- Monday, June 19, 09:40 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Authors with even poster numbers are present @ their posters.
- Monday, June 19, 12:30 p.m. - 02:00 p.m.
- Monday, June 19, 03:30 p.m. - 04:30 p.m. Authors with odd poster numbers are present @ their posters.
- Tuesday, June 20, 09:40 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Poster session time group 2:
- Tuesday, June 20, 03:30 p.m. - 04:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 21, 09:40 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Authors with even poster numbers are present @ their posters.
- Wednesday, June 21, 12:30 p.m. - 02:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 21, 03:30 p.m. - 04:30 p.m. Authors with odd poster numbers are present @ their posters.
Posters participating in the Best Poster Award Competition can be identified by the suffix BPA in the poster number. In addition, the authors have been asked to place a text button on the upper right corner of their poster, “ Best Poster Award.” The are about 280 authors competing for the BPA.
You can review your set yourself or with your partner, which is up to you. Please try to speak with the authors about their poster. But it is fine to preview the posters before the session and focus on the ones that you regard best.
Ultimately, we need you to deliver one nomination for the second-round flash poster presentation. The reviewers in group 1, please provide your nomination on Tuesday morning. Reviewer in group 2, please deliver your nomination as soon as possible, Wednesday afternoon. We need to let the nominees know in time so they can prepare and deliver their posters for the flash presentation on Thursday morning.
The worksheet gives you some guidance to make your ranking. We suggest you to thoroughly evaluate the poster and use a full scale to score the criteria. We realize that the quality of the posters does not have a normal distribution in the sample group. So, if the two reviewers agree that there are two candidates for the final round evaluation, please let us know. Alternatively, if the two reviewers think that none of the posters in their set qualify for final round evaluation, they can decide so.
