He was succeeded by his 25 years old son
Genzo Shimadzu Jr.
1927 Established the Shimadzu X-ray Technology Training Center, now
known as the Kyoto College of Medical Science, the center
continues to train technologists to this day
1948 Shimadzu established the Shimadzu Engineering School
